Hello. My name is Joanne Kim, and I currently live and work in Mongolia where we are building a new international school. Because monolithic domes are super-insulated, we felt it was ideal for such a cold country. The shape is also very appropriate because Mongolians’ nomadic “gers” (tent-like structures) are also round. We are in the preparatory stages, but will be ready to build the actual domes soon but I’m looking for an experienced dome builder who would be willing to come to Mongolia and teach/supervise how to build the domes.
