Seen in Florida

A friend of mine was driving along the road in Florida and stumbled onto this cutie pie.

Oh, it has length to it, too!

So it’s a VERY short partial torus?

Where is this one located in Florida? I am in South Florida and always interested in seeing one in the state.

Actually, it may be a small prolate ellipse.

When I first saw the photo, I imagined a straight seam across the top between the pair of dormers. That’s why I suggested length. It seemed unique, but perhaps its an illusion of the photograph.

I was used to seeing the Prolate Ellipsoid shape from previous articles, but I don’t see that “leans out from the floor level before curving over the top” in the above photos.

Thanks, Melinda! Will look that one up!

There are lots of domes in Florida! Let me see if I can find you a commercial or public Monolithic Dome to go see. I don’t think it’s a good idea for us to be sharing exact locations of homes. I’ll do a search for you and be right back!

I did a quick search and came up with a few domes you could go check out. Consider coming to Texas in October for the Dome Tour! There will be 3-5 houses available to tour.

I don’t know a lot about these domes. You could probably find out a lot about them by searching online.
