There are at least two fire stations built using the Monolithic Dome method. One in Menan, Idaho. Another in Utah. More discussion is underway to build similar facilities in other locales. Most emergency centers are FEMA funded storm shelter domes dotting the midwest intended to be shelter-in-place facilities during tornadoes and other bad weather. Many are diguised as gymnasiums. During a tornado or hurricane the residents and students shelter in the dome. It doubles as a recovery center after the storm.
